Twice AS Nice

Somehow I test you more than the others

Is that why you enjoy to do your best 

To find a way to molest me into my place

Thinking I'm too strong of a woman!

More time and attention to Style and Grace,

Who clearly, are only happy for pretty clothes and

Plenty shoes, Makeup, Hair and Nails

Yes man, always playin with the For Sales

Sale signs in Shop windows, cars and wholesales

even wardrobes to put clothes in houses,

Never out of style, always in and out,

Shaking and rollin them like dices.

Glasses stirrin, mixin drinks with ices

Taking out the ladies, who looks the nicest?

While inside they be cold like the ice is,

While you be trickin, they be trickin you twice as..

The fire in me, the strength
Of my will, my muscle, my skill..
As you battle to overcome me
Until I give in...

And the measure of my threshold begins
As you test my ability to withstand until,
I feel the pressure building inside
Thumping, thudding and I know
You peak and yet are overcome...

Shared with you all for International Women's Day - under the theme of Gender Equality for All, Highlighting the paradoxes that exist within the sexes as we battle for power, control and journey through moments of shared pleasure, pain, joy and even hate and anger, violence and feelings of displeasure and distain... as often there exists a need to feel stronger or more secure and this creates a constant push and pull that also is part of the passion that binds us, the basis for our interaction as opposites.. After having posted some EXCLUSIVE samples of the upcoming book of poems, right here on blogspot. The wait is finally over and Cerise Indigo Black exhales, and releases... a book of poems! After many years writing, reciting and creatively performing vocals as a Poet and Singer/Songwriter it has long been overdue for this talented voice to produce her own material.

She has created a book of colourful poems, inspired by the rainbow and all the colours in the Spectrum of light.

The aim of the book is to help facilitate Colour therapists, Healers and Practitioners to use the poems as inspiration for colour therapy, creative visualizations and healing, transformation work.

Yellow Moon

Yellow Moon

Makes me feel like butter on bread

Warm toasted with a trickle of

Honey or even golden syrup,

Oatmeal with maple and cinnamon

And brown sugar, nutmeg and Cocoa

On a cold night…

Freshly baked banana bread

With milk, sweet like that

When my love touches me in

That Yellow Moon(light)

Got me singing Jazz melodies

like Nina Simone, beautiful

warm, mellow, rich tones that make

you glow inside - like fireflies in the night.

It was all in my Dreams... (THE VOICE)

I don't do this for vanity
More like trying to
maintain my Sanity
And find some sort of Validity.
More like my ultimate Fantasy..
Trying to make it reality.

My imagination runs over and..
Sometimes it haunts me
My dreams are filled with images...
Nothing means more to me

I don't do this by Choice
But I was given a Voice
A need to be heard
over the noise...
To stand for a cause
not just to hear some applause
But to open some doors

So your imagination runs over
And your mind roams freely
Your dreams are filled with images..
Nothing means more to me!

Turquoise Blue so fresh, so new
Every time, that just jump in feeling~!
The colour of the sea, aqua some call it
Dependent on the Shade..

Some more blue, light, bright, airy
Others more green and deeper, darker!
Too cool for school, Turquoise Blue
You make me feel brand new - smarter, sharper,

So amazing this colour, brilliant, enigmatic, vibrant
So special Mother Nature made you
into a gemstone of her own!
